Ross Dental Studio in Prosper is the vision of Dr. JaTerra Ross - dentistry that rewrites the script on how people view going to the dentist. Using her firsthand experiences with dental anxiety, Dr. Ross created a place where patients feel safe and relaxed, and where pressure-free dentistry is combined with technology and artistry. Dr. Ross’s goal is to be known as the soothing dentist who supports her patients’ oral health goals while educating and guiding them on their path to overall well-being.
Dr. JaTerra Ross has always been fascinated by dentistry even though she grew up being terrified of the dentist! That’s one of the many reasons Dr. Ross loves caring for patients. It gives her a chance to change the way people feel about going to the dentist. Starting as a hygienist, Dr. Ross quickly realized that her true passion was to become a dentist, so that’s exactly what she did! She loves being able to talk to her patients and relate to their needs, oral health goals, and soothe their dental fears so they can get the dentistry they need while feeling cared for and supported.
Preventive dentistry helps us spot issues early so we can take action while a problem is still small. Being proactive instead of reactive can save you time, money, and future dental pain, and can keep your smile healthy for years to come.
Sometimes a filling or a crown is necessary even if you’re diligent about homecare and preventive cleanings. Dr. Ross offers judgment-free care for patients with every dental need, so you can smile with confidence.
An exam helps Dr. Ross look for areas of decay, signs of periodontal disease, and screen for oral cancer. Early detection helps us treat any issue while it’s small.
Regular dental cleanings remove built-up plaque and tartar to prevent tooth decay and gum disease while removing surface stains.
Most of a tooth rests below the gumline. A digital x-ray helps show us what the root of the tooth and bone level looks like so we can make sure it’s healthy.
Not valid in the presence of periodontal disease. For new patients only. Cannot be used with insurance.
“I've frequently been told that patients feel comfortable around me, and to me, that means the world, because the dental office is a daunting place for a lot of individuals.”
