Meet Dr. JaTerra Ross, DMD

Dr. JaTerra Ross grew up in Chicago, IL. She has always been fascinated by dentistry, even though she grew up being terrified of the dentist! She chose a career in dentistry to help eliminate the fear and anxiety often associated with dental offices.
After high school, she earned her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Southern Illinois University in 2009. Dr. Ross then worked as a hygienist for about five years before she felt the calling to pursue her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and graduated cum laude from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in June 2019.
Dr. Ross loves to learn the latest techniques in dentistry by taking continuing education courses. She is also an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. When Dr. Ross isn’t caring for her patients, she loves to spend time with family, travel, attend concerts, and exercise.
If you listen closely enough, you may hear Dr. Ross humming or singing while working! She is an avid music lover always searching for new music and concerts. Dr. Ross also enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and working out. She is mostly kept busy by her husband and two children, though. Her daughter is heavily involved in band (she is a flute player!) and a competitive dancer for a local dance studio, and her son is learning as much as he can in Pre-K!
